Ok....turns out it is the vessel that came from Chile.

Google shows that as a 6600 mile tow to Anacortes...thats gotta be spendy..!

Its at Dakota Creek Ind. in Anacortes where they can load it onto a barge for further shipment.

There are only two yards in the Pacific Northwest that I'm aware of that would be qualified to finish this vessel...Delta Marine in Seattle and the operation of Dennis Washington ('Attessa IV,' at 330-foot..his own yacht) up in Vancouver BC. (Vancouver Shipyard...plus BC Rail, Montana Rail, Seaspan Tug & Barge....his companies are endless..)

My guess is that Washington's operation in Vancouver wouldn't need it delivered on a barge...so I'm betting its headed to Delta

BTW....Dakota Creek didn't want anything to do with finishing it..!

Got a bunch more pictures today in Dakota Creeks yard...stay tuned

BTW....looks like Dennis Washington re-launched Attessa IV last month, September 2011...after a three-and-a half-year renovation, including lengthening her

In this economy, one would think that any yard would be anxious to finish it if it's got an owner willing to spend the money to finish her.

Dakota Creek has been around doing very well for 35 years...in part because they stay away from pleasure boats, their fussy owners and their wives that make change-after-change but don't care to pay for all those change-orders at delivery...

. . . . . and Delta just finished up Northern Marine's 151' red-haired stepchild. A trend?

Must say that Weta also looks a bit forlorn as it is currently berthed immediately adjacent to Mayan Queen (ex-Project Safari), Athena and Vertigo at Auckland's Westhaven Basin.

Compare 3 very shiny mega/superyachts with handsome crews decked out in their no.1's with an unfinished/unfaired/unloved vessel with a few hairy builders in overalls doing their thing.....

The only identification apparent on the vessel is its international registry number emblazened on the stern. Lot of work to be done before we can read the chosen name on the bullwarks I reckon. Gin and Tonic seems a bit naf to me?

There are quite a few other large yachts in port - not sure whether the attraction is the Rugby World Cup/Pacific cruising or many are here for refits. The international refit business seems to be burgeoning somewhat in NZ according to the industry body's media releases.

Hi,

I got the name from an article on Stuff.co.nz - Latest New Zealand News & World News, Sports News & NZ Weather Forecasts

I have since written to one of the hairless blokes in overalls asking what the real name is.
