| insurance Companies
a few months ago i purchased a 52'c hatteras and got insurance through Boat US. I have heard horror stories about buying insurance through Boat US and i was wondering what you guys recommend for a quality insurance company? Another big issue i have with Boat US is they will only allow me to insure the boat based on my bill of sale. Problem with that is i got a great deal and i would like to insure it for more then i paid. Any input on this would be much appreciated.

I got Boat US and been fairly happy with 'em over the years. My boat is insured for 33% more than the bill of sale: Had a couple of "insurance surveys" done over the years as I upgraded the boat and added stuff: The surveys reflects the increase in value. (If there is such a thing with boats..  )
