One of the boats on display at FLIBS was "Tencara", built by Callan Marine. Dave Callan and crew are known for ultra-go-fast, turbine powered cats. This was a diesel diversion from their typical turbines. Had to be the angriest sounding glow engines I've ever heard. Mean I tell ya, mean!

Outstanding work once again Carl, Tom, and team.
It's like I got two shows in one! One while there, and just as good a show here, which required no mile after mile walking!

Any ID on the boat in post 68?
Very unique lines on her.
And with that bow, she looks to be a dry boat heading into the thick of it.

Once again, outstanding work to YF!

Two quick observations: That's quite a color on the Viking 74' in post #61, and the more I see of Sycara, the more I am convinced there is not a wrong line on her.

Great job with the show, again and as ever!

Walked by it twice, but the name escapes me. I want to say Aquas, or something to that effect. The bow flair is so dramatic, it looks cartoonish. From the exterior, it was an interesting boat. Meant to go back and look at it, but my time was spread pretty thin.

I think Tom has a few pics from our Wednesday walk around the dock. It caught our eye at the time. It was docked next to Mia Culpa. You HAD to see the fishing rod holder on that boat! It dropped down from the ceiling on the aft deck with atleast 50 rods stashed in it. (no reels)

Thanks Carl-
I'll dig around and see what I can find with that name. Interesting / unique looking boat. It's like a melding of an OA, an Offshore, and a Nord.

I'll try and reverse engineer this if I can find where Mia Culpa was tied up, and search from there.

Thumbs up

Thanks to all for all the fantastic photographs. So many yacht photographs are taken in a manner that give little information as to the true scale of the yacht with relation to other yachts, land based structures and humans; i.e. from a distance, or at sea, or from a helicopter... These photographs taken from the human vantage point on the water really help me to understand the scale of these boats. This may seem trivial, but to a yacht lover based in Northern Alabama (who almost never gets to see one of these beauties in real time), it really enriches the experience. I subscribe to several yachting magazines, and while I enjoy seeing the interiors of yachts, my true interest is in the boat itself; I am always left wishing for more exterior shots that reflect scale and detail of the vessel. Many times magazine layouts consist of only one exterior shot. I always want to see the bow and the stern as a minimum. I am digressing, but you get the point. I really enjoyed this feature last year and you guys have come through again. I only wish this thread could go on for many more pages.

Well I am glad you thoroughly enjoyed. The rest of us are as pleased as you are!

Some people are never satisfied. lol
Here's Lady Sheridan. Although not in the show, caught her coming in and turning in front of Pier 66 to dock.

Where were you guys for the show? Still on that Trinity?

To Bigboatbill and all others,
Thanks for the kind words. We're glad we can bring FLIBS to you from a different perspective. The internet and the YF website allow us to keep our content "open ended", where we are not restricted to the size or number of pages. But it does take a lot of time to gather info and photos and edit down to the ones you see here. The feedback also lets us know we are delivering a quality product.

I'll drop another on you: Different shot of Northern Lights.
