As usual, Trinity brought a line-up of superyachts to the show (no less than 5), but this year they brought one of their biggest, most beautiful yachts-to-date, the recently launched 60-meter "Bacarella".

Abeking's 60-meter Elandess is berthed beside Trident. You probably won't see a review on this either. I've had more contact with dead relatives than the marketing people at Abeking. No worries, plenty of other builders to cover.

Considering the number of boats based on image, not on engineering and reliability, here's the most important boats at the show...

For me, one of the most exciting boats to see at the show, Christensen's new 49-meter "Odessa". A full YF review is in the works...

As we cruised north along the intracoastal to Sunrise Harbor, many of the usual suspects were lurking down canals or in the shadows, including this modern day Pearl, owned by Captain Jack Sparrow himself, the "VaJoliRoja". Say "The Jolly Roger" with a drunken slur and you'll understand the name.

I know Tom has a bunch of shots, so I'll wrap up my pre-show photos. Time to get ready for a boat show!

"Vajoliroja" is such a nice boat. Beautiful Proteksan & Turquoise. I can't wait for the review of "Odessa" Carl.

Wow, if I knew the photo would be splashed on YF I would have sucked in the gut and combed the hair. Oh yeah, Carl, thanks for the reference to "Silver Fox" regarding my hair color as we passed the yacht of the same name. Well, at least I still have it so don't care the color.
Let's get back to our regular program. As previously mentioned, I did ride in on a PacMan 85. The tranquil ride gave me time to reflect.
