In 2008, the Neville 56 Trawler yacht is set to make its appearance. Following up on the design on the Neville 47', she will be significantly larger. Larger does come with an advantage in more onboard space, greater fuel capacity and thus greater seagoing range.

The N-56 is a seagoing trawler yacht designed with the main cruising grounds of yachts in mind. By this they mean that she will be able to sail to the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Alaska and even other destinations.

One of the great features of this yacht, is the fact that she can be single-handled. By this, they mean that the vessel can be sailed and operated by one person -if needed-. This capability would eliminate the need for crew or 'unwanted guests', according to Neville Trawlers.

The dimensions of the 56' are interesting. She has an overall water line length of 54.4 feet. However, her overall hull length is actually 60 feet, inclusive of the bathing/swim platform. Her beam is a spacious near 20 feet and a draught of 6 feet loaded ensures close littoral cruising or anchoring.

One of the special features of trawler yachts are always their deep range capabilities. Despite her size, this vessel can knock- up a range of nearly 3,500 NM at a slow trawl speed of 7 knots. Increase the speed by 2 knots, and you will realize a range that is half the above mentioned range.

Horsepower will be provided by the John Deere 6125 AFM, M1. Specifically, there will be 341 HP available. Electrial energy to power the onboard aspects will be provided by a Norther Lights 20KW generator.

Accomodation wise, there will be three staterooms available. A large and centrally located room with a large bed, plenty of clothing storage, and ensuite facilities. There is also another room of similar size but this is located in the bow of the N-56. It features clothing storage on both sides of the room, counter space and a large bed. The room does not have an ensuite bath, however, this could be found down the hallway. There is also a berth that is significantly smaller.

Here is the summation of statistics for the Neville 56' Trawler yacht:
