I am looking at a 1982 70ft trawler built by the Sweeping Boat Building Co. and cannot find any information. Has anyone heard of them?

I've never heard of them. IS it a shrimp trawler that was converted to a yacht? Have a marine surveyor inspect the boat........

I looked at the link yu posted elsewhere online asking the same question.

It does not look like it was ever a commercial trawler and it doesn't look like it would be very stable at sea.

All that extra weight up top could make it very unstable.

As CaptJ suggested get a surveyor to have a good look at it before you part with your cash.

I agree with K1K1 all that extra windage and weight in the "apartment" up top could result in a very unstable boat, you might want to look into a stability test and or stabilizers.
