Yep, J,

The smoke used to be horrendous, due to no pre-heaters. In the marina in Antibes I used to have to go around all my neighbours and ask them to shut their portholes and doors before I started-up; all with straight through exhausts.

Once, while in Corsica, I took my girlfriend to lunch in the hills, leaving the deckhand to run the motors up. I could see and hear the darn things from almost 2 miles away.

I think it's great to see somebody make this kind of $$$ commitment. And I get the pushing the envelope thing. But I have to say I'm not lovin' the tower.

I don't like the tower either. It looks like a bad batman creation or something.

at the end of the day hates off for trying something different, i think the tower belongs on more of a cruiser than a Battlewagon with 7200horse running nuts.
its bit like a sports car without racing wheels... that hull is sexy thou.

Double Down returned to her dock on Long Island Monday now in black hull with grey accents and a new boot stripe.

Very sharp. Won't that hull be fun to keep clean though. Some boat washer just boosted his business.

I know the captain and the boat- his old boat used to the be the other sportfish at my marina in Pt Lookout. Calling it a "Tribute" is said to be inaccurate by the captain. Quite a boat, that's for sure.

I read about this boat a few months ago in Powerboat and Motoryacht. Supposedly the design is over 10 years old, but wasn't built until recently.
