| Worlds Largest Sportfish
Hello Friends,
I hope everyone is doing well. I believe the world sportfish is the 130ft Mea Culpa. The Yacht was desinged by Jack Sarin and built by Mcmullen and Wing in Austrailia.
Go to www.jacksarin.com
Lots of nice pictures.
David

Hi David,
I believe the current title belongs to Marlena. As previously mentioned, she's been stretched to 136.5 feet now. Doug Sharp's office handled the redesign. Here's a picture of her after the work was finished...

| what a great looking boat
I like Marlena now than when she was original new from Trinity. Not to long ago Striker yachts had designed a 140 Sportfish but since then we do not here much from Striker?

Mea Culpa was here in June, sorry no photo.
Also, not the largest Yacht fisher, but Nordlund's brand new "Victoreous" at 110ft is a nice purpose built boat. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...40348811nqtnaZ |

Victoreous is a good addition to the thread, but this boat really falls into the YachtFish category. What makes Victoreous seem more like a sportfish is a very cool, arch-mounted Crows nest. It looks like a bumper car collided with a sports car and created the best seat in the house. I’m sure the design was intended, as there’s a car racing connection with Victoreous <Edelbrock>. There's a press release somewhere on YF about the launch, along with some pics. I planned to do a feature on the boat, but their marketing guy dropped the ball. I ran out of time and had to move on to other projects.

Why is it that when I squint a little bit I see a Tom Fexas Midnight Lace in that 171 Sharp?
Oh, and a Reggie Fountain bow.
A real departure from "Marlena".
Call me a design grump, but...

Nail on the head Loren! I couldn't put my finger on it. OutMyWindow mentioned Millennium and I can see this too.

Burger also did build a 107 Sportfish which was launched Sept 13, 2001. I looked on the Burger website and found nothing. This is the 2nd Burger Sportfish for the original owner. His 1st Burger sportfish was the 90.
Have a great day,
David

Just saw an article in Boat International with pictures of the "new" Marlena after the redesign. It's in the Sept. '06 issue.

The 107 Burger is Sarabeth. It just came out of paint and looks fantastic. Has two flats boats, pulls a nice tender, It is one of my favorite boats.
