Great thread!!!!
If I had 3-5m to throw down, I would get the boys at American Custom Yachts to build a 65-70ft. Can anyone get some pics of one of these!! Something like Freedom, and Que Mas.

I know I'm late to this party but here goes.
If I had $ 3 to 5 M to spend, and not being a fisherman but loving the Carolina/Jersey style sport fish I would have these criteria.
46 to 53 feet.
16 foot beam about.
The beam allows me to get a slip at any given marina on the C.Bay and not be stuck on the fuel or pump out peir.
Diesel for sure. 35 knot would be great but 25 kt cruise would be great for me.
The Hukins is sweet but even the new ones I've seen don't have the layout or comforts I'd want.
Although the profile of the Huckins is classic the interior is a little TOO classic.
Rybo is THE dream but they prolly don't build a boat this small anymore.
I suppose they could be convinced to make a little sport fish for the right money.
So Rybovich is the one for me, that profile gives me goose bumps to be polite.
I'd have every piece of candy and electronics that could be put on the boat without ruining the profile.
No tower either.
My 2 cents.....

$3 to 5M for a 53' footer? Wow do I have good news for you. Gold plated everything plus blondes in every room.

Perhaps he is aware of that keeping the boat without getting ruined requires an equal amount to the purchase price. At least this is what I recommend...

Not sure if that translated right. You can have NY blonds, LA blonds, Miami blonds, but NYCAP blond would break the budget big time. Now back to the subject.

Dont know much about Bayliss other than they are beautiful boats, but Weavers I know are excellent boats with very nice lines to go with them.

hi
yeah, i read Weaver use kevlar on the inside and outside of the hull, im guessing for the high impact strength, make sence. anyone else doing that?
there latest 63 is pretty nice (there best to date personally), i think its because they have shifted the inlets up...?

Only other boat I know that uses a Kevlar reinforced hull is hull #1 of the 65' Donzi series. The rest were made with fiberglass because it was too expensive making them with kevlar.
