Hi All
As you all probably know S.Y. Maltese Falcon is for sale for $176 million. I saw the story online
Word on the Dock is that she has been sold to a Russian client a few days ago. Does anybody know if this is true???

My wife's company handles the onboard communications for the vessel. Usually when a vessel has a sale pending she is notified to transfer the billing to the new owner, she has not yet been notified by the yacht as of today.

This may not be the case (transfer of billing) if she remains under the same Malteser flag registration and management..? But whatever, it always take some time with surveys and paperwork before a deal is done.

In a certain magazine, there is an indepth interview with Mr Perkins talking about MF, and her future replacement MF 2, designs are being drawn up. Tank and wind tunnel testing is well under way.

Not exactly...he took on a partner; ""You may have heard that Falcon has been for sale," Perkins writes. "She is now off the market, as I am taking on a 50% partner in the boat. The new co-owner requests confidentiality, so I can't share the name."
Falcon had been listed for sale at $180 million. And that's not a typo. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/63536-post228.html |
