Multi Hull Technology Banishes Seasickness from Coastal Voyages
The CDC estimates over 90% of the population is subject to being seasick depending on the conditions. The engineers at Stability Yachts recently announced, "We've just eliminated the conditions." Rich Guglielmi unveiled the cutting edge capabilities of this craft by skimming across the flats just off Cape Coral Florida. He said, "Although a proven technology, SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) vessels until now have not been practical for the private yacht owner.
Traditionally, these vessels have been very heavy with a deep draft. The engineers at Stability Yachts overcame this by developing a ballast system and infrastructure that allows our 60x20 foot yacht to run in the catamaran mode at 17,000 lbs displacement with only an 18-inch draft.
So besides the stability it offers, you can take this yacht virtually anywhere on the water, you don't have to worry about running aground if you stray slightly from a charted course or the channel.
Stability Yacht recently teamed with award winning yacht designer David Carambat. Carambat has outlined a stylish superstructure with a spacious interior and flowing exterior lines. Carambat said "These wide multi- hull yachts always present a design challenge to create a sleek profile. However, in the Swath 60, I believe we have achieved a yacht look to complement the trend setting innovation of the SWATH hull"
Carambat is also enthusiastic that the Swath 60 promises to open up the boating world to more people. The seasoned boater and avid fisherman stated, "Just as you can hold a business meeting with confidence you can plan a Thanksgiving onboard with confidence. No one has to stay home or risk feeling uncomfortable. To offset the challenge the height of this craft could pose to boarders we configured it with an elevator- so it's easy to board if you've been swimming, Configure for it for parties, diving, fishing or even more intimate gatherings.
