I believe that it is appropriate for the largest Feadship built to-date to have her own thread. The "Musashi" was launched on Friday August 6, 2010. I remember a while back one of our members took a few pictures of this same hull going to Feadship for fitout. Again, anyone with photos, relevant information related to the build of this new yacht are welcomed to post here. Remember, if posting pics, the forum's rules are 640 X 480 pixels. Actually she looks alot like this vessel (BELOW) that Carl photographed while in the Netherlands, hull 1003 of the XL Feadship line. So Musashi is hull 1002 while "Ocean Victory" was hull 1001.

And over a year ago, I posted this here...(Link Below). Must have been the superstructure to the Musashi.

Does anyone think this yacht resembles Rising Sun?

The sun is rising on more than similarity. 'Musashi' was a Samurai. And therein might be the answer.

I thought the same thing as far as the similarity goes.

Then I thought, Maybe this is Rising Sun's "Mini Me":)

As I said in the Feadship News thread, she does have many similarities to RS hence why I believe she is related and for the same owner.

Here's a side by side.................well almost. They are both very white, but I think different enough not to be confused.

The only thing that doesn't appeal to me about "Musashi's" design is how low the aft part of her hull appears to the overall proportions. However, once all that tarp comes off the aft deck overhangs and off the glass windows the overall view should be better and busier looking. She isn't the worst looking but I can't help but think she also resembles "Wedge Too".

I remember reading a long time ago that the owner of RS was strongly considering Feadship if he was to build a smaller vessel.

The basketball hoop is a dead giveaway in MedRascal's 2nd photo...is it not?

So if they stuck a basket ball hoop on the back of the new Lurssen "Katara" does that mean it belongs to the owner of Octopus? ;)

the similarity between rising sun and musashi led me to make an observation and have an opinion...park katara out front of seattle, and most people may mistake it for tatoosh...then you might think the owner of octopus is involved
