I hope its a bit neater that the Sunseeker platform system. On their's there is so much ironmongery, rods and levers hanging out; if you pressed the 'Down' button a bit harder you would have a great stern anchor built-in.
It's a hydraulic swim platform and it's standard on the Squadron 78. It is longer than typical in order to allow the tender to rest fully on it. It can't swing up.......it can only be lowered to approx. 70cm below water level and once raised it stays at the same level as the fixed part of the swim platform.

.........I have seen the Sunseeker system which also moves in a semi circle when being lowered......their swim platform actually moves away from the boat when being lowered. I prefer the Fairline system which allows the platform to move in a vertical direction when being lowered. I'll take a shot of the Fairline system and post it here.
