Very nice and as a mastercraftsman I can see that it was done in a pro way.You will have a neat boat when done.
Sometimes little details takes time.

Tarek, that is honestly sweet! She is progressing well.. I love the small bridge area... looks so cozy, comfortable and hi-tech. Keep us posted with more pics when you get the chance.

Tarek,
I am sure you will enjoy your new boat a lot, she will give you more comfort and better range to explore more distant shores.
How are you planning to transport her to Egypt? Will you take her on her own hull? My experience was great and I suggest you to take the same way if you will have time to spare.
I also hope that you'll cruise to Turkish coast and will give me the chance of hosting you here.

Thank you Nilo ....I will definitely cruise the Turkish coasts and it will be a pleasure and honor to meet with you.
As for the transport of the Squadron, so far I was planning to ship her on board a transport vessel to Cyprus and then sail from there to Egypt.....it's a very long way from the UK. How did you bring your boat to Turkey and where did you bring her from?
Best regards,
Tarek

Hi Tarek,
Nilo even made a beautiful "little" detour on his trip from Holland, along the coasts of Sweden and Norway. Have a look at http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/cr...nd-norway.html.
It's certainly not impossible to take her on her own keel. Last winter, there was a convoy of about 10 brand new Fairlines here in the harbour (in Scheveningen, Holland) on their way from the shipyard to Norway. They caught some pretty rough weather. Several owners were driving their own new boats, by the way.
PS- a good maiden trip will also make sure that any defects will occur when the boat is still fresh (not the day after the warranty expires). So it's even recommendable in that way.
Bruno

Thank you Bruno for your suggestion. I will probably do a trip, but not as long as Nilo's which was extremely interesting.....thinking of transporting the Squadron to either Italy or Greece and from there taking her on her own keel to Hurghada / Egypt. That would be a journey of about 900nm.
Regards,
Tarek

Is great to see English builders continuing to produce quality yachts. I didnt work for, but worked very closely with Fairline and many of the dealers for 2years. I'd been away from them for a while, but was onboard a S74 at Miami show and was reminded how high a quality of yacht they are. IMO the craftsmanship is second to none!
Glad to see fairline pushing themselves to grow and building bigger yachts!

Fantastic insight to the build. 2 boats in a year will start to be a quite expensive hobby! I hope that you enjoy many miles of happy enjoyment.
