Delta's Slojo

Mr. Terrible and Slojo? What are the differences? They might just have era differences. Sure they were all built/to be built most recently but the Mr. Terrible has a modern speedy design. The design of Slojo is more classic, more fitting for an early 90's launch at an older yard. The Slojo is dominated with curves and subtle classic touches such as flared rails in the forward exterior areas.

More boldly, is her dominant Awlgrip Flag Blue hull colour, set against the pearly white superstructure. The Slojo will be fashioned from composite materials, which is a bit of a supprise for me. You would tend to think many of the classic designs that have gone by were fashioned from aluminum or similar materials.

Here are some statistics for this blast from the past:

LOA : 156'
LWL : 138'.4''
BOA : 28'.8''
Draught : 7'.7''
Weight : 350 tons
Speed : 15.5(max), 14.9(cruise)
Engines : Two CAT 3508B, 1300 BHp @ 1835 rpm
Range : 3,500 NM @ 12 knots
Exterior Design : Delta Design
Interior Design : Tom Stringer

The to be, luxurious interior will host 9 guests inclusive of the owner and will have space for an equal number of crew will be there as well. The guests will not have to worry about cruising because the Slojo will be built to A1 Maltese Cross A1 Yachting Service AMS Standards. Additionally, the guests will not have to worry about excessive movements while at anchor as well. Stabilization will be provided by the proven 'Quantum QC 1800 Zero Speed' type. The Slojo is expected to be delivered for the first or second quarter of 2008.
