Christensen Sells 2nd CUSTOM 160’ SERIES
Vancouver, WA – Christensen Shipyards, a foremost builder of high quality certified composite motor yachts completes the sale of hull 034. This is the fourth Custom Series yacht sold in 2006. The new Custom 160 Series was sold through Lee Racicot, with Super Yachts Inc., to an international customer and marks their first large yacht. Currently under construction, hull 034 will feature new exterior styling with a forward raised shear and combing and will be the first to feature a dark blue colored hull.
The 160’ Custom Series has been exterior styled by the Christensen Shipyards. Powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 series engines, Hull 034 will have a maximum speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 4500 nautical miles. The spacious hull, houses an elegant main deck owner stateroom and five guest accommodations, as well as crew’s quarters for up to ten, together with an elevator that services all levels.
Interior designed and styled by Giorgio Armani; the yacht will feature a minimalist interior of flat panel Sapelle Mahogany joinery, interior teak flooring throughout, and custom stonework. With over 6500 sq ft of interior space the 160’ tri-deck exemplifies the optimal use of space that Christensen is becoming renowned for. Hull 034 is fully classified & certified to ABSXA1-AMS & MCA Unlimited Cruising.
