I'm replacing the windshield on my '61 constellation. Were they originally glass or plastc? Would glass be problematic? Thanks

I'm not sure 100% but I'm almost certain they were glass. Use flat safety glass and you should be okay. I would stay away from plate glass, because if it shatters, it can turn into needle sharp daggers that fall onto feet and into eyes.

If you use a Lexan, be sure to get the MR finish (mar resistant) or whatever product they have that is intended for UV exposure.

Thanks Paul, I'm having glass cut as we speak. Now I'm wondering on the best sealant to wood that would seal out the moisture, but would not hurt the wood frames should I ever need to remove it again. Any ideas?
