Hello recently acquired a 1960 35 foot roamer . Just wondering what those little holes are in the hull just below the side windows, just aft the rectangle port holes. Are these for running lights, vents or bilge outlets? Any thoughts??
my wood window frames have drain holes that run from the inside of the track to the outside. The holes we are asking about are down in the side of the steel hull below the deck level, our roamer was gutted on the inside and there is one hole just below first stringer down aft of the v berth to saloon bulkhead on both the port and stb. sides. I can see a fitting in some of the pictures I have seen of the same boat but I can not identify what it is. these seem a little large and quite far down for another window drain. I hope I have explained our query a little better as it will take us a while to put up a picture. Also is there anywhere we can access any technical information for this boat we have the owners manual but it does not help much. Thank you for any advice
I suspect that these are the holes for the running lights. Mine are roughly 18" behind the V-berth ports. For more information on your boat: http://www.marinersmuseum.org/library/chris-craft They have extensive Chris Craft records, including the original Equipment Record for your specific boat. All you need is your hull number.
