Here's "Samsong" - a '67 Riviera 37"(AL) - soft top -- very rare.
Once belonged to a Roamer Club member - now, who knows?

It was an Ohio boat I think.

As far as I know there are only three Roamers in San Diego. One fifty foot something I can't get a good picture of.
I hope the pictures come out ok, this is the first for me posting photos here.

I've actually seen "Summer Toy" in person - about 3 years ago, when I was out visiting my wife's brother in California. It was in the same marina and looked just as stunning as it did your photo!
(No one was home at the time).
Great job documenting the few Roamers that made it out West Wally - no doubt these fantastic "Roamers" would want to be Club members themselves.
Make sure they hear about us!

ANother '67 Riviera 37' soft-top came to my attention - see her for sale on the "Holland Exchange" (www.geocities.com/hollandexchange) -- very rare bird/complete with custom aluminum arch as well. Sweet!

Tennessee I believe.
"Harmony II" - which belongs to a Roamer Club member as well - always one of my favorite "big" Roamers. She's '63 FDMY 56' -- the biggest they made that year.

OK, I'm a kid riding my motorcycle around in the '60s past the old Chris Craft plant in Pompano Beach, FL.
There are three big old bare aluminum hulls laying out in the field; no decks.
Looks like they were the last of a run that were victim to a poor market.

What do you suppose they were?

BTW, at that time, my family used to do it's boating nearby--we passed by the old CC Test Center off Lake Santa Barbara whilst heading up to Hillboro Inlet.
There were always a bunch of Chris's at the docks, eye candy even back then!

That would be you having a 60s-induced flash-back - imagining what Dick Genth, the CEO of Chris-Craft would decide to do to the Roamer Boat Division in 1979: Stop production.
And this from a man known for his "vision" - sheesh!
