Hello i am Bob Muier. My wife Karen and I bought an AL 37' roamer (hull # rxp-37-3503) last fall. The Roamer was located on Table Rock Lake in Mo. and we had it transported to Lake of the Ozarks in Mo. Not long after we received it the weather started to change so we have not had a chance to get it out and use it.
The Roamer is in good condtion but it needs some minor cosmetic attention. It is powered by ford 427s and paragon drives. Every thing seems to be in good shape except I think the port drive has a problem. It is missing the flood light and the genset but we think other than that it is complete. We want to keep it powered by the original units if possible.
The Roamer is very different for us because it is our first cruiser. we have owned runabouts and a power boat before this. Even though we have used it very little we have already spent a lot of time on it and looking forward to the up coming summer.
We started reading information on the Roamer web sight before we found this roamer. We would like to thank everyone for the help in learning about the roamers.

Welcome aboard, I'm certain you'll enjoy your Roamer...especially on Lake of the Ozarks or LOTO as I call it. I've been there a few times and even run a Poker Run there...stayed at Tan Tara (think I spelled it wrong). Had a blast...glad I put in the water the day we got there...ran the boat for about an hour and then watched the sun go down...it was beautiful, but the next day it rained all day. I still ran the boat, came too far not to, but it would have been nicer if it wasn't such lousy weather.

Great lake with a lot of good people there. I may try to get down there again for the Lake Shootout sometime.

How's the port engine/transmission going?
Parts are not cheap for the 427s, but worth it.
Pretty busy with winter projects here myself, but very glad you and Karen found us and our little Roamer Club.

Good luck sorting out your drive problem ... hope it's not serious. Having just had two '67 Paragons rebuilt this winter (OUCH!!!), I can tell you it's not a fun experience.

Hi Bob & Karen. Congrats on your new boat. What year is your Roamer? You're going to love everything about a Roamer! I have a 1967 48-foot Riveria Motoryacht (the last steel-hull made by Roamer.) My Dad bought the boat new right off the production line. He saw her being built at the Holland, Michigan plant....your boat was probably built there as well. I was fortunate to have toured the Holland plant quite a few times. We've moved her from Chicago to Texas, then California. Unfortunately, my Dad passed but we're keeping the boat in the family. You'll find that there's nothing like a Roamer! I have original owner's manual, engine manual for the 427's and Paragon Manual. I'm happy to look up any info or answer any question if it will help.

I have a steel hull 1967 48' Roamer too...and a 1964 36', unfortuantely both boats are too much for me at this point...if you know of anyone looking for a boat like yours I would sell my 48'.
