    Hello All!!!
Im the new owner of a 1972 Chris Craft Commander Salon. I am looking for a helmsman seat or at least some pictures of one and maybe some measurements and or specs to help me build one. My boat currently has no Helmsman seat, I looked online for some pics but no luck.

    Purist or not

Frankly, the original seats are fine BUT impede access to the motors. Garelick makes a very suitable substitute, which as an added benefit "swivels".
    Available for $229:
ALUMINUM CHAIR / SEAT STAND - Garelick Eez-In
    Think about it.
    Cheers!

Does that seat move around while running in rougher waters?

I have one which I will sell. It's covered in a horrible plaid fabric but is in otherwise perfect condition. PM your email address to me and I will send some photos.

    Seats

They can be center-lined strapped to deck with the addition of a hard point - iffin' your seas get that rough.
Here on the Potomac have never had to worry.
    Cheers!
