I just Bought a Regal 38,steel hull,427 engined. (RDA38002) Id like to take it to Alaska this summer.
Id be interested in any advice you might have.
Im concerned about the lack of fuel capacity and the effect of stowing a lot of heavy gear.
How much of a load can I carry without adversely affecting stability and fuel use?

Did that in 2006 from Vancouver BC (home port) to Juneau on my 70 Ft Stephens, 90% protected water all the way, fuel and fresh water no problems, biggest concern is Cape Caution are, listen to the forecast and off you go.

Great rip, lots to see and lots of fun.

Enjoy, spend lots of money in Canada.

Travel early in the am so you can stop early enough each day to pick up docking space. Don't worry about fuel and supplies as all are on the way....Hell I did it many years ago in a canoe!

Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back and my curiosity has the better of me. Are you going to make the trip, or are you in the process of making, or preparing to make it?

Preparing. Preparing. Preparing. That trip is about eight years out.
I will likely be looking at a repower eventhough there's only 815 some hours on the engines...its the paragons that have me worried. no parts, no parts, no parts.

For now we are enjoying and updating cosmetic stuff, electrical, adding insulation, etc.
