Catalina 381?

We are in the market for a bigger boat (somewhere in the 36-40 range), having recently given up our Sea Ray 268. We've done a lot of searching and had kind of narrowed the field to a few, including Carver 3607's and 3807's (which we're still scoping out after hearing some not so good things about the older Carvers)...and the Catalina 381, which seems to have literally everything we want - especially if it has diesels. Would greatly appreciate feedback from anyone who has or has had one...the good, the bad and the ugly!
