Hello all. I am a set decorator working on a movie shooting in NYC. In our movie we are building a wheelhouse of a 167' motor yacht. The movie is set in the 1990's and I am looking for helm equipment for our set. It cannot be any older than 1997. Please contact me with any questions or ideas as to where I can locate this equipment.

Are you trying to copy a vessel built in 1997?

If so you might want to aim at Bridge Equipment from a couple of years earlier.

The equipment is ordered soon after contract, no one can build a 167 ft yacht the same year the contract is signed so 2 yrs is a fairly safe bet for the date of the gear.

I must ask that unless you are going to zoom in on individual articles how will anyone know the exact year model of the components?

I'm assuming he meant the equipment can't be newer than 1997. At least they are trying for realism.
