Hi David and welcome,

I don't recall what it was. It's not unusual for a refit or repair boat to be under the shed, in addition to boats under construction. This is an integral part of Broward's business. On any given visit to the yard, you'll see a few distinguished yachts at their docks, but... due to the recent hurricanes, most of those docks are MIA. The docks are scheduled to be rebuilt soon.

When Mac logs on, he can tell you what the boat was in front of the 120'. Although, they're getting ready for Miami right now, so it may be a little while.

Hi Carl,

The vessel in question is a Hakvoort, build in a Dutch yard of the same name. Your are correct, in that it was in for top to bottom paint job.

Wow, those were great pics and my Hats off to the craftsman who work at Broward !!!!! Just looking at all the individual parts that are welded togeather is amazing. And anyone who has every fabricated anything has to appreciate the diffucality X 10 it is to build something with all those radiuses and curves. Other than some deck structure and plates there's not many parts that don't have complex shapes in the build. Outstanding workmanship!!!!!!!

Hi David,

Just off the phone with Amelia @ Broward. The 120's scheduled to splash by mid-December. I'm going to the yard next week. If Mac gives me permission, I'll take a few pics. Otherwise, pro-pics will be ready in late December and a YF feature will follow shortly after.
