Smile Careless Babe/ Sovereign

shes actually a 1961, 85 feet as built, and 88 with the swim deck. I should know, I just bought her. ;-) Her Name is Sovereign.

Congrats. Still mostly original, or have there been modifications made?

mostly original

Thanks, shes mostly original, amazing condition. Were starting on the road to a "Golden age of hollywood" restoration with classic wood/deco features. All cosmetic luckily. ;-)

Some more shots of the lovely boat Dorisam when she was not yet an "oldie."

The first two pics are of her approaching, then docked at, Champlin's Marina on Block Island in July of 1971. The third pic is of her at berth on Bimini in May of 1978. The final shot is from the starboard deck of Dorisam, looking dead on at our former boat Si-Go, approaching Champlin's in the Great Salt Pond.

Bonus points to anyone who can identify builder, model, and approximate year of ours.

(My apologies for slightly wonky color, the photos have faded and yellowed a bit like the memories attached.)

She's a Huckins. I don't know the models well enough to identify, but will guess at "Corinthian" mid 1960's vintage, 72' length. How did I do?

I'm at my Winter home now and most of my research material is elsewhere.

She is indeed a Huckins! I'll post more pictures and particulars in the Huckins thread in the next couple days, after giving anyone else interested in yacht-spotting a chance.

Have you finished your restoration? Any chance of seeing pictures during and after?

restoration.

were getting there... will get some photos soon... HAve decided to do some major redos in the kitchen/dining room making it into one great space with an srt deco bar, and built ins... but I think that will have to come later. Were nearing the need for new stabilizers and maybe a new generator.... You a classic owner?

Nothing of this magnitude, I have a 1960s 48 foot Chris Craft Roamer, she is an aluminum hull also.

Aluminum?

y hull is all triple mohog.. in great shape. How do you like the aluminium hull? are there any concerns with keeping it up? I was originally looking for a constellation when I came across my broward. I love the lines of Cris Craft.. the roamers are beauties...
