Well this trip didn't turn out as I had hoped. Most of the big boys were already gone but there were some sights to see. Unfortunately I had a little accident early in the week that required a visit to the hospital for stitches right on the heel of my right foot. So I wasn't very mobile all week. However I did get some shots to share. One bonus was that the aircraft carrier USS George Washington was on shore leave. We met a lot of great people including Rear Admiral Joseph F. Kilkenny.
I must say the navy has some class people.
On my final full day I had to somehow get out fishing so we were lucky enough to go out on a new 40ft Luhrs. That thing handled the rough water like nothing and didn't bounce me around at all. We managed to catch 4 nice Mahi Mahi.

Well I hope you enjoy what photos I managed to get.
I did see one yacht that I couldn't identify or get a shot of. It had a black hull, appeared to be around 200ft and had a helicopter on the back it looked like it must be four decks high at least. Any ideas on what it was?

    Thanks Steve

Ah Chris: Didn't know you were there,,,,I was there briefly on Saturday morning with my cousin to collect on a bill from the Azimut Sofia which left that day. I was extremely hung-over seeing it was our last night. And my foot was killing me due to my little injury earlier in the week.
Wish I had known,, I would have taken you up on your offer.
Do you need any service on your tenders? That's what my cousin does there,, I can give you his number,, he's good guy. He looks after the sport-fisher there also,, it's called Halfbreed.
If you want to check out my trip pix go to,,

    Atessa

    Steve,

The yacht you didn't get the pic of with the helicopter on the back is Atessa. She's still here in SXM but is alongside at Isle de sol now. I think they are hoping to leave this week and I know they are going to the Med. Nice yacht, great crew. This is her first visit here as Atessa. She'll be back next season as the owner loved it here. I'll post some pics soon.

Great photos Steve. Next time you're visiting drop me a note and we can, maybe, have a beer and watch the bridge opening.

Were you around the day that Lady Jenn left? We gave her a great send off at the 4.30 bridge. I would post the pics but don't want to upset anybody who's offended by partial nudity!!!:D

Here are some of my favourites from this season....more to follow.

That wonderful big blue transom of Limitless!!! I have some othe fantastic shots of her coming through the bridge for next time.

Ecstasea's turbine!!! Wow, what a yacht.

Sterns on the dock at Isle de Sol during February. My favourite time of year.

I couldn't help but laugh when I clapped my eyes on that turbine. Very in your face.
