    Hey all...

With the apparent moderate to severe damage to the Fort Lauderdale area (and subsequent boat show sites) I wonder if Show Management needs to simply consider another time of year to schedule the show.

Whether or not you believe the numerous doomsayers who are predicting that this 'cane season is just the beginning of a 25-30 year stretch of ever increasing storms. I for one tend to accept the premise that season will get worse during the next few decades, as what I am hearing is not from a few scattered doomsayers, but MANY weather specialists!!! Pretty scary indeed!!

I have heard that shows like Fort Lauderdale and Monaco are make or break shows for many companies and consider companies that bring ENGINES to display!!!! Poor Trinity who had yachts damaged by Katrina, then got them all fixed up and shiny again only to have them damaged by another storm in Fort Lauderdale!!!!

Final thought?? Time to move the show to another SEASON!?!?!?!?! Maybe March, April, or May...well before the hurricane season starts.

    My $.02 worth!!!

    Cheers,

    Mark

well, it looks like a very good idea.

but after taking a close look of other show schedule, you will realize it is very tough to do in March, April, or May. Since Miami show is in Feb, I doubt it will work. Afterall there is just ~30 miles apart for these two cities.
