F1 Grand Prix in Monaco

As usual, the harbour is packed. Many of the boats are owned by F1 people, large ones by sponsors and team owners, slightly smaller ones by the drivers. Kimi's yacht is the partyboat of choice I'm told.

If you use Google Earth with the Marine Traffic plugin installed the names of the targets are displayed so you don't have to click on each one to see the name!

You can still click on the name to get the Marine Traffic pics and information. Pretty cool!

I noticed the really big yachts and cruise ships were anchored outside the harbor. They probably have a maximum size limit during GP week.

Can you imagine how many anchor over anchor incidents there must be in that big C-shaped pool!

My French cousin, who used to be a harbour diver there, used to make bloody well sure they were all tangled while he was down there.

Those of you who know a bit about racing may know of Mr. Sato.

He does bring a smile to my face.

In Monaco you normally only use the anchor(s) when you arrive. Then the diver is replacing it with mooring lines so you can leave without problems.
