In the first photo of post #71 by Capt Tom, I see that Wider Yachts yachts had banners on the floating Lazzara Showroom. I was just curious how two different brands allow that?

Thanks for showing me that, you said: " lower helm station as you call it" is that wrong - if that is the case I am sorry and what is the right term?
Regarding the Wider Yachts banners, I guess the Lazzara broker is the dealer for Wider Yachts as well..

Nothing is really wrong with it at all just different people call things differently, no harm On the other model, it would be a lower helm station since it also has a flybridge nav station.

Wider Yachts not only had banners hanging, they had one of their boats on display. Tucked in on the port side of the Lazzara 92, you could get to the Wider display via the Lazzara ramp/dock. Maybe they were a late entry? Maybe Lazzara was sub-letting their space? Maybe Lazzara was short one yacht and wanted to fill the space? Who knows. In case you missed it, here's a shot from inside the 92.

On a side note, the Wider boats are certainly an interesting concept, however, makes me think of alot of servicing.

I seem to be noticing more designs with darker superstructures like the grey topsides of the 92. Do the darker colors absorb heat and make it uncomfortable for the guests lounging or crew working on hotter surfaces?

That's a great question, I think that was a question asked about the Christensen "Odessa" since she has a black hull! I am looking through our Odessa review but cannot find where I thought it was raised but we talked about it somewhere here on YF though. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/ch...60-odessa.html |

I saw a few of them unloaded as well as a few other boats that were supposed to be in the Miami Show. I have pictures of them Friday morning, February 17th coming off of a ship and being unload in Port Everglades. Mind you, opening day of the Miami Boat Show was Feb. 16th. They have a stepped hull and surface drives and look like they should fly. Here is also a pic of the MXC that was late for the show as well.

Capt Tom,
Many thanks for the great pictures. Regarding the Lazzara 92, is that strictly a one-off, or will those features (enclosed flybridge and extension) be incorporated into future models?

Nice pictures as always. Thank you very much.
Seems the US market is still in a slow sales recovery. Hope it gets better for all.

As for heating the decks, etc, I only had experience with topsides, and hull, so not having the decks themselves painted, although they are all teak, so they heat up the usual amount...
rgds!
