FLIBS Post-Show Parade

Are we going to be lucky enough this year to see the boat show parade after the show?

Not sure what we can capture for that yet. Been busy on the docks and have to get in some sea trials on Tuesday, but may hit the Bahia Mar docks early in the morning to get some of the yachts taking off. Enjoy the thread we have put together.

Hi all,

It's Tuesday morning and we're still at Bahia Mar, waiting for the dockmaster to give the go-ahead on pulling out. Tom has one sea trial. I have two, followed by yet another tomorrow. I don't know if we will have time to cover the post show parade. Either way, it's doubtful we'll post anything until we return home, late Wednesday night. Mostly, just need to get a good night of sleep. Hope you enjoyed Tom's pics and my ad libs.

Carl

That is truely sad but I am sure we COLLECTIVELY understand that you all are super busy. The boat show parade will be an element missed this year.

Hi all,

Dropping by for a minute. Yes, Carl and I had a great, albeit busy and tiring FLIBS. We both worked day and night (literally) on the photos, ad libs and other things. Due to the early high tide today, many yachts started scampering out at sunrise, however we managed to get a number of shots, not from 17th St or the Pelican Bar/Pier 66 (big-arse yacht blocking the view), but from Bahia Mar. We'll get them uploaded soon, but as the big guy said, we both need a good night's sleep first. Walking around a little punch-drunk right now. So, more to come...

PS: Hope you enjoyed the daily coverage. Many miles of walking and lots of talking goes into the final product.

The show's over, but the parade has just begun! True to any FLIBS, the day after sees a convoy of vessels departing as Show Management cuts 'em loose. Thanks to a Tuesday morning high-tide, the parade started much earlier than expected, actually before we woke up. When I realized the flotilla was breaking up, I scurried down to the docks to bring you the...

With a Glade Johnson interior, "Anjilis" is one of the nicest Trinity's to date. We toured this boat at the show and a YF review may follow, but not before Bacarella.

Sporting the same name as a recent movie but not named from it (as this Benetti launched in 2001), Quantum of Solace slips by. Stop by for a martini, I'll take mine shaken, not stirred.
