MIAMI Boat Show Pictures; February 2009

What to Expect? I live in Miami and every year visit the Boat show, "searching" for the dream. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the show.

As always, I'll be walking the docks. Carl, any plans on getting together?

Hi Jorge,

No YF plans for the Miami Show. I'll be on Collins Thursday & Monday. Maybe the Marriott on Friday.

Carl

What's the "Feel" for the Show?

Anyone have a "feel" or heard about the show in reference to companies displaying? I have heard (rumor of course) that the show is quite a bit smaller as it comes to particpating companies. I will be on Collins Ave with a major yacht company myself, most of the rumored fallout is down at the Convention Center. Anyone hear anything concrete?

Took a ride into the show this past Saturday (Feb 7) on a Hargrave. By the looks of it and although I've heard that some have pulled out, the show seems to be filling up a week prior to opening.
You can see your favorite yachts in the photos below. Hargrave will have 16 yachts there, a big display. Newest is King Baby, a 100-footer. I came in on the 105-footer Dream, a beautiful yacht with a great crew. In the first photo is My Lady M, On A Roll, Seafarer and King Baby.

See you in Miami.

Oh yeah. Got a few shots of the Lazarra display being towed into the show. If you haven't seen it yet, get up close to it at the show. They will also have a new 92 LSX there, as it passed us going in.

Great shots as always Tom. You've got a good eye. But what's with all those clouds in "Sunny South Florida".

We are saving the sunny days for the show. Here is a shot of the Hargrave Dream when there was a break in the clouds.

I ran a yacht to the Collins ave location on Monday. There are A LOT of open spaces, and areas that had twice as many yachts that now only have half as many. Many of the venders had the yachts tied up sideways to take up 3 slips and things like that. I would say there are 35% or so less yachts this year.
