Really focused on reviews this year, taking mostly detail shots that will be used as reminders while writing. Covered a bunch of boats, of which 6-8 reviews are forthcoming. As much as I'd like to share some of these shots, for many reasons, it's best to wait until the reviews go live. Until then, here's a couple of teasers. The first...

This is the new Sony PlayStation 3 controller. It's slightly larger then previous handsets because it's designed for a 135' video game...

I think the name of the company is fitting, because you'd need to possess this trait before engaging reverse! The aft deck of this boat swoops right down to the water, literally leaving 2 inches of freeboard at the stern. If you ever had to back up, really fast, you'd need to change the name of the boat to Big Gulp. | $350,000 for a single engine 28' yacht tender jeez. |

Was that a collision? I can't see any damage from this angle.

TK, take a closer look. It appears that the bow rail is all messed up, pulled up and twisted. Must have been under power to do that handiwork.

There were a few Captains that failed to realize that underneath the soft plastic ads there were steel I-beams. The staff at the Uniesse pavilion went ballistic when they realized the lines were a bit loose and their big express cruiser was banging the dock and threatening a piling. Wish I spoke Italian, but they were going at linguistic warp speed anyway...
Anyone else surprised by the ratchet up in cost per linear foot for most models? The marketing folks indicated a lot of the sales were international--the US market was prett dry according the them.

| That's it?
I don't want to say too much, other than I know I have been a total schmuck to have been away so long. Yes, I'm still a lubber and still planning to come to Lauderdale to work at wiring some of these golliath bathtub toys.
It is great to hear some millionaires are opening their wallets! Naturally, they must be thinking they'll need a versitle 'get-away-car,' as everyone knows the idea is to get out of the dollar, -fast!, and Bob Chapman's latest piece will have you running for the exits if you are laden with anything but commodities..."OFF TOPIC?" --OK, Diesel, why is it MORE expensive than good ole regular gas? And, Chavez, is anyone making predictions about the price-gouging we might see in 3 months as Venezuela tightens the noose around the poor middle-class Americans necks?
I told you guys I'm working on a self-propelled boat. In theory it should work since it's two main components already do so. Of course, I am resolved to accept that the world economy will implode well before anyone has the forethought to invest the price of an LSX-quad towards the perpetuation of man's free rite of passage... So it goes to follow I have also been working on a very serious plan B, which is to go into organic farming in Costa Rica. The idea is that there will be great demand for quality foods at these fancy new yachting destination retreats!
