This yacht is the 180ft Feadship SAMAX. She was originally owned by the brother of the Sultan of Brunei and had a somewhat risque name..... so much so that Feadship always referred to her by the project name CLAIRE. She has a beautiful Andrew Winch interior.

You can say it out loud : her name was TITS and her tenders were named NIPPLE 1 and NIPPLE 2...

CLAIRE was her project name but she has this name before the Prince came along. She was shown as a model named CLAIRE by Merle Wood on the Monaco Yacht Show in the early nineties and on that same show she was sold. I remeber a big plaque set up by Merle with the announcement of the sale.

Usually when Feadship sells one of their projects, they change the projectname to the name that the owner has given her and the yacht is presented under her new name to the press but in this case they stayed with the projectname.

She has indeed an extraordinary rich and warm interior by Andrew Winch. Truly a marvel of an interior.

This Prince probably made the builders of this yacht blush of shame when they heard her new name not to mention the fitting names for the tenders.... I can imagine a sigh of relief when took knowledge of her namechange.
Anyway, the Feadship van Lent yard launched a sistership to Samax at the end of last year under the name Dream. You can check her out at http://www.yachtdream.com

I'm new to this forum but when I saw one of my photos posted here it immediatly felt like home

Welcome home Insider! Glad to have you aboard...

If you have pictures, specs or stories about "Dream", please feel free to post 'em. Or... tell us about some of the ports you've been to. Thanks!

Carl

TITS

TITS got her name when the (then) owner's son first saw the boat and exclaimed "Dad, it's the tits!" it went from there.

It's actually a good size ferry, but it's dwarfed by most of the ships that come into Port Everglades.
