Thank you for all the good pictures. I guess these boats are competing to APBA and not UIM rules, but the difference are not that big.
In Scandinavia we don´t have so many big offshore boats but a lot of boats for single outboarders, both monohulls and cats, some with canopies as well. Our problem is that we have too many classes and few one-type boats. There are developments pointing to a couple of boat types sponsored by outboard manufacturers that might take off and that would cut costs and get more excitement back to the racing at sea, not in the garage...

Essentially, we have the same problem here in the states. The boat designs are so widespread, i.e. hull config, power, size, etc., that it does not leave enough competitors in each category.
The other problem is too many sanctioning bodies, which has resulted in a lack of corporate sponsorship. This has been an ongoing problem for many years. If everyone could agree to "get along", the sport would flourish.
