A German company by the name of Albatros is producing miniature models of commercial ships but they have also done a series of yachts by Blohm & Voss : the Lady Moura, Golden Odyssee and Katana : these models are very small, about the size of a box of matches.

er - i guess that's not the right club, they're building remote controlled ships

they're building most of their ships on scale 1:4, referring to their about us page

The manufacturer for these models is Albatros Schiffbau Miniaturen from Nürnberg, Germany.

They have a website where you can find a list of dealers : www.albatros-miniaturen.de; mostly in Germany and some in the UK and the USA. There’s even one mentioned in Voorschoten, Holland but I doubt if he’s still in business; I was never able to contact him.

Albatros produce small quantities of each model and they’re actually hard to find and quickly sold out.

Recently models of Octopus and Rising Sun were added to their collection.

Prices for yacht models range from something like 30 EUR to 45 EUR. It depends on the model.

Don’t forget that they’re scale 1/1250. So the actual models are only a few centimetres with limited details.
