Her Project Name is GRACEFUL and is to cost more than € 100 millions, finished in 1 or upto 2 years. The main task of Yard is interior. Maybe another Contract is under Way. She is already total closed in DK 6. My Director goes there next weeks to see if we gain a Contract as well.

Nach der Übernahme des zivilen Schiffbaus des Unternehmens durch den Investor Star Capital Partners Ende Januar 2012 sei damit der erste Yachtauftrag in dieser Konstellation erfolgt. Der Bau von Luxusyachten ab 80 Metern Länge soll auch weiter Kerngeschäft der Hamburger Werft bleiben, die in der Vergangenheit schon die größten Megayachten der Welt abgeliefert hatte. Wer Auftraggeber des Schiffs ist, sei vertraulich, hieß es. Branchenberichten zufolge handelt es sich um einen Russen. Mehr als 80 Millionen Euro dürfte ein solches Sportbootprojekt der XXL-Klasse kosten. In diesem Fall möglicherweise sogar noch mehr. Ursprünglich sollte der Rumpf von einer russischen Werft an Blohm + Voss geliefert werden, heißt es in Branchenkreisen. Doch beim Transport mithilfe eines Schleppers über die Nordsee lief die Konstruktion vor Norwegen auf einen Felsen und musste als Wrack aufgegeben werden. (Diese war trotzdem am BV weiter gebracht und als Versicherungsgründe es sich nicht gelohnt wieder zu reparieren). Beim jetzt zweiten Versuch wurde der Rumpf (Design ist jetzt anders) bei der Stahlbau Nord in Bremerhaven zusammengeschweißt - von dort war der Weg deutlich kürzer und sicherer nicht im Winter.
