Buying a 1980 46.6 Bertram

Hello,

i am thinking to buy a 46.6 year 1980.
It had the engines changed in year 2004, with two Cummins 450.
What do you think about speed, consumption?
Anythings i have to watch for?

Regards

Apostolos

I don't know what speed would be, but would guess around 24 knots at cruise. Fuel consumption should be around 45 gph at cruise just guessing for both engines. The cummins 450's are solid engines that are reliable and I would say a great improvement over the Detroit Diesels it came with. The 46' Bertram is a good boat as well.

It sounds like someone really cared for the boat and made a lot of new additions and improvements over the last several years. Quit messing around before someone else buys it and have it surveyed.

46' probably one of best bertrams........make sure YOU hire the surveyor , and they do not have any ties w/ the brokers or sellers.....also in a boat that age, make sure he is dirty at the end and does not spend 1/2 his time banging the hull w/ that silly hammer
