Benetti completes 62-meter "Bistango"
At the end of 2009, Italian yacht builder Benetti launched a 62-meter yacht that was later christened "Bistango". Known as hull FB 244 in construction, she was completed in the first half of 2010. Her Naval Architecture is by Benetti and features exterior styling by Stefano Natucci. The interior concept and styling is by Studio Massari.
Bistango has a displacement of just over 1000 tonnes and was built in steel and aluminum for optimum strength and balance. She was envisioned for the charter market and has been classed MCA. Average guest capacity on the
Bistango is about twelve under charter but she can host fourteen. They are served by a crew compliment of fourteen, slept in eight cabins.
There are twin MTU 12V 4000 M60 series engines with the ability to push this Benetti to a top speed of 16 knots with a cruise of 14 knots. It should be noted that
Bistango has a continuous range at 12 knots of roughly 7000 nautical miles from about 150,000 LT of fuel. Since completion she has been chartering in the Mediterranean region.
