This is probably only tangentially related to the topic, but have any of you ladies or gentlemen received a less than alacritous response by the owners or crew of a yacht while taking pictures of any of these vessels? There aren't any legalities involved, are there?

Yes and no, there are legalities at shipyards which prohibit to take photos of yachts... but there are no legalities which prohibit taking photos of yachts in Marinas or elsewhere. They are public so it is the same when you take photos of buildings or cars. But I think you should respect the privacy and do not take pics of any people onboard, particulary if they ask you for it...

Hi,

Milow232 has pretty much nailed it.

You might well find that the recent couple of YouTube interior videos that were pulled quickly were taken by crew and posted with no thought as to who would see them.

A lot of Crew contracts expressly forbid this type of thing along with clauses that grant any profits made by selling stories etc to the Owner.

Given that it is virtually impossible to control every second of someone's day in the environment they live and work in. There will be the odd one that slips through.

Ah. Good to know. Mind you, given that I'm in the Midwest, I doubt the opportunity will present itself frequently, but I was curious as to why some of this content gets removed so quickly.

I guess it does make sense; I'm sure that there might be legitimate security concerns--along with a reasonable desire for privacy.

Thank you, gentlemen.

The brand new "STEP ONE" will be at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). This will be her international debut. STEP ONE’s exterior design was drawn up by well known designer Tim Heywood and her fully custom interior by Laura Sessa.

You can have a look on the Amels website and you will find a testimonial video from the captains of "Ilona", "4 YOU" and "Sea Rhapsody". You get to see some nice shots of the boats at the Amels yard. Look in the news section, it is the latest news item.

Any idea when they will announce that sub 3000 gross ton limited edition series? I heard MYS but for the 242 I believe they released info a month or so prior.

Now this aft rendering of the Amels Limited Edition 242' reminds me of an aft Image of the "Lady Anne" (now "Lady S") in that very same location in Portofino.

I believe she was brought to Flushing for the final bit of outfitting and such. I do not think she was launched there.
