On the outside, Awlgrip topside paints are the most common and work well. For fairing, use their fairing putty, AwlFair. For the antifouling, any of the non-copper bottom paints are appropriate. Copper-based antifouling paints, as you may be aware, will cause the aluminum to fizzle away due to galvanic orrosion really fast. For the inside bilges, I have used POR-15 on my steel designs, and am intending to use it in a new aluminum Globetrotter 66 sailing yacht that I am designing now. You can see POR's website at: http://www.por15.com/. It is a very thin paint that protects moist bilges really well, and it has a rubbery tough surface.

Well, it should be 5083 Aluminum, so why paint it at all? If you have bare metal, just leave it, or Alodine it. If you already have paint and are trying to make it pretty again, there are a couple of ways to go. There is something like Alumigrip which will use an etching primer and a linear polyurethane type top coat. Or you can go with a urethane rubber type product, or an epoxy paint.
