I got my rotor-wing rating back in 1988, but let my medical expire in the mid-90's. Not much use for the ticket anymore. I was partner's in an R-22 for a year, mostly to accumulate time leading up to a turbine rating (and to get insurance!).
I've been right seat with a number of friends on various light-wing stuff. The best so far was a ride with Don Wittington from World Jet in a P-51 Mustang as my 30th birthday present! Unbelievable torque!! If you gave it full throttle at just above stall, it would literally roll the plane inverted. Never forget that ride...
