AMG made a rather prescient statement about fuel consumption and public perception some time back. As a friend's daughter commented the other day, "The Escalade is uncool, gas pig." Her Vantage, of course, is still ok since it doesn't look like a "gas pig". The wisdom of putting a 17 year old in an Aston Martin is a whole other subject.
