Just when I thought it was quiet...
Yeah right. A little too quiet!
Prices around here had settled down over the past couple of weeks, even dropped a little. My last two fill-ups were cheaper (per Liter) than they had been for the previous month.
Then this morning... wham! Up to a $0.144/L hike all over the region. The stations in higher income neighborhoods were in the mid $1.4xx range, while off-island suburban areas saw it as low as $1.364/L. I passed a $1.364 station this morning and cars were lined up all over the place. Less than 2 hours later that station was at $1.499/L like nearly
every station in the Montreal area.
Hands up whoever wants a smart!
