Boy did the oil companies love hearing that.
Now for a reality check. I used to captain a 51 Bertram. She held 1100 gals. That's $6,985 for a fill up. She burned 80gph. That's $508 per hour. From Greenwich you're about 6 hours to Newport (a nice day's cruise). That's about $3,048 each way before you've even bought lunch (Or you could do a lunch hop across the sound for about $1,000 plus food).
The average person you deal with during that trip will earn about $80 per day before taxes.
