This subject is a continuation from the original thread... $2.00 Gas?
Yes. I paid the equivalent of $5.17 per US Gallon yesterday.
Perhaps it's time to retire the $2.00 gas thread.
There is a bright side to increasing fuel costs. Went for a ride yesterday up to the Columbia Icefields. This is normally a beautiful but sometimes frustrating route. The usual mountain sheep, deer, elk, bears and other mobile slalom course flags which can make things interesting, were all present and accounted for. But not one motorhome or travel trailer crawling along at 40kph. We were probably just extremely fortunate since there were some of these vehicles parked in various places along the way but far fewer than would have been there in the past.
Not, of course, that I'd ever consider doing such a thing, but I was told that....
Riding, lights off, at night under a full moon with the moonlight reflecting off the snowcaps illuminating the way. Just doesn't get better than that.
Perhaps, we in North America, are starting to think a bit more about how we use gasoline.
Thoughts?
