On the contrast, Carnival Corporation PLC unveiled its design for its 130,000 tonne Carnival Dream. Alot of commonalities with the Destiny/Conquest class and also other vessels in the industry. However it also boasts a number of new design features.

We can see the new Carinival funnel from the Splendor class, The bridge looks slighly modified RCI-ish, this will be the first carnival ship to have its name plate up on the top aft decks like the new RCI freedom-class and the Princess Diamond-class.
It has a slightly different looking central pool glass wall but shares commonalities with the Costa newbuilds - Fortuna, Magica etc. She also has hull holes as was pointed out..a la QM2.

Note the rounded lower frontal superstructure, that is different. Unlike the 3 sided angular front of the Destiny/Conquest-class.

If you want to get ridiculous, she has two leveled red carnival stripe along the hull. The promanade idea as was said before maybe inspired by Crystal Serenity?

At the sametime, the keel for Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) F3-class ship has been laid yesterday (04/24/08)
