The stepped hull has two advantages, it reduces pitching for a better comfort, meaning it keeps the bow levelled even when flying between wave tops.
It is also for lubricating the aft part of the bottom with air. By going straight and high with a small wetted surface, the speed goes up, fuel consumption down and the range is improved.
The hull rendering is from the 3D-files as seen in a program where I can rotate it to see it from any angle.
The Venetian is still just a decoration on the wall...
