In reposne to Carl's comment, the Bahamas may have on first glance killed to goose that laid the golden egg. However, the million dollar plus yachts whose owners (corporate or private) who can afford $3.10 per gallon (today) diesel can certainly afford the $300 cruising permit and obligatory fishing license. What gets me is that the permit is only good for 90 days.

Dockage with Peter at Nassau Harbor Club at $1.50 per foot is still a great deal by US standards and the gin clear water and excellent lobster and conching is what brings them back.

I'm only here because they pay me $300 a day to keep them off the bottom.
