The NSX doesn't eat rear tires, but it's known for gnawing away at the fronts. They came from the factory with a lot of camber and toe-in, which was good for track use; not for tire longevity. A lot of this can be dialed out, but not completely eliminated. A Z-rated tire will last about 8,000 miles, less if you track the car. Not a problem for me. I've had my current NSX 5 years and I've put 5,000 miles on it. My tires will dry rot before wearing out!
